Sixth Month

Another month down and things are different in so many ways except the one that we really want. Morgan still isn’t sleeping well, in fact it seems like the older she gets the worse she sleeps. She seems to be stubborn like Mommy and Daddy so we can’t even let her cry it out. The several times we tried, she just cries for hours until we finally cave and go to her. Oh well, what can you do?

She is almost sitting up on  her own now and she’s also starting to stick her bum in the air.  It’s amazing how much she can get around the room even though she’s not crawling yet.  She can push herself around when she’s on her back with her feet, or when she’s on her tummy with her arms.

A few Firsts:

Eating Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, and Beans

Piece of Puffed Wheat

Visit to Strong Start

Getting her soother into her mouth by herself

Bathtime with Daddy

Time in snowsuit

Wiggling around the room on her own

Vomiting session (not as fun at the other firsts)

Here are a few pictures to enjoy.

It probably doesn’t make you feel any better, but at almost fourteen months Isobel still doesn’t sleep through the night. We, too, have tried the crying it out thing and after four hours of screaming also caved. Every once and a while she’ll be really nice to us and sleep for a seven hour stretch – but we still wake up and wonder if she’s okay. She’s down to waking up at least twice a night, so it was slowly improved for us; unless she’s teething and then it’s up all night. Plus one of us has to sleep with her for most of the night. Eventually, she’ll figure it out; I hope.

twice a night would be great!

we’re up at least every 40 minutes… this last week seems to be every 15 minutes (no joke).

teething may be a part of it – but we can’t see any red gums…

Glad to know we are in good company =)
