Oh Yeah!

The other day I was picking Morgan up from my Mom’s .

She had run down the stairs and was playing with the stuffed bears on the bench on their landing.

While we were talking she reached up and turned off the lights to the entry area.

She makes this amazing impersonation of Bruce from Family Guy: “Oh Nooooo” Bruce, Oh No

She then got this big grin on her face and flicked the lights back on with a classic Cool-Aid Man “Oh Yeahhh” Cool Aid Man, Oh Yeah

Butterfly

Today something happened with Morgan that can only be described as miraculous.

We were outside in the gorgeous sunshine.  Morgan was sans clothes, as that is the best way to get potty trained.

It is also a really good way to get some vitamin D.  She was heavily sun tan lotioned up.   The lilies, pansies, and clematis were in sumptuous and heady bloom.

Morgan was playing on the front lawn in all this natural splendor, when a huge Monarch butterfly flew toward her.  Morgan’s eyes grew huge and she indicated she wanted to kiss and feed the butterfly.  I told her we should just let the butterfly come to her.  Well, it did.  Right to her, and lighted on a lily right at her hand.  It actually came right to her.

We have the most extraordinary pictures of a tiny, naked nymph feeding this glorious creature of nature.  They were a match made in Heaven.

Black Bear Morgan

Today we were playing up back and swinging on the swing set.  We decided to come in for a snack and a bathroom break.

I looked out the window and there, right where we had been playing seconds before, was Blackie, our resident bear.  He is really big now, but so gentle (looking).

I tried to get Morgan to see him, but she was unaware of what I was so excited about.  I wish she had seen him, but I did take pictures.  We must be very careful in the back yard, as Morgan would just love to give Blackie some very big cuddles.

A New Sister

Charlotte is home.  Morgan evidences no sibling rivalry at all.  She is thrilled with her new sister, and extremely generous and caring with Mom and Dad.  They are talking about starting potty training, and with any luck we will have Morgan come for one day a week.  We don’t want her to feel excluded from her nuclear family at this point so playing it cautiously with her sensitive nature.

March Morgan Madness

Hot on the heels of Morgan’s most recent growth spurt, she has become an absolute terror.

She now is sporting two teeth, has really taken to cruising on the furniture, and is running us into the ground.
